Face wipes over the recent years have become a big no no, as they only remove dirt from the surface of your skin. Foaming Cleansers for Oily Skin

Those who suffer with oily skin, often think they need to strip it of all oil in order to solve their problems. But this can just make it 10x worse. A lot of brands target foaming cleansers at oily/blemish prone skin but, in reality, by stripping it our skin over compensates by producing more oil. Try looking for cleansers, which are either clay or cream based, which will help neutralise oil production.

Washing Our Face With Our Hands

Unless you are slightly obsessive with washing your hands, germs will build up over the day and when it comes to cleansing your face, dirt will transfer, creating impurities. Muslin cloths have always been big in the beauty world paired with hot cloth cleansers to remove dirt and exfoliate the skin. But an old favourite is making a comeback… The flannel. You will most definitely have one of these lying around the house and if you do get them out, it will become your new best friend. Their ability to hold water makes it the perfect cloth to remove cleansers and get a deep clean. The only downside is you do need to change them every-day as they can collect germs

Not Using an SPF In Winter

You’re probably thinking we’re hardly in a tropical climate here in the North East so why wear sun protection? But even just being in the sun’s rays can be damaging to your skin. We’re not saying bring out the factor 20 but SPF can be found in foundations,BB creams, and moisturisers. Always remember to double cleanse if you’ve been wearing an SPF that day as it can clog your pores.

Mistaking Dehydrated Skin for Dry
