Last night we all headed down to the Bonded Warehouse, Sunderland, for the official Fashion North launch party. The event kicked off at 6.30 pm with all the lovely ladies from the Fashion North Team greeting guests on arrival with free Champagne. Local band Cohesion warmed up the crowd before all the fashion fun began, firstly with a speech from editor Victoria Higham, introducing the website and also the team behind it.
In attendance was everybody from 1st year to 3rd year journalism students from Sunderland University, as well as local stores who kindly donated clothes for the catwalk show. After the speech it was time for the models to strut their stuff down the runway, clothing was provided by a great mixture of vintage shops and high street including; Van Mildert, New Look, Scout Vintage, The Pussydoll Palace, FYAH Apparel and Port Independent.
As well as swigging on champagne, guests were treated to vintage sweets on all tables and canapés to nibble on throughout the night. The catwalk show was a huge success and afterwards guests were left to mingle for the rest of the evening, with the band taking to the stage once again.
