The first image has been leaked via Lucky Magazine…
Back in September last year the exciting news that Sarah Jessica Parker was creating a new shoe collection emerged. And now ahead of the launch next month the first image has been released.
Thanks to the US publication, the world has been treated to the first glimpse of the range, named simply SJP, which will be sold exclusively at US department store Nordstrom.
The image shows the ‘Diana’, a single sole Mary Jane style heeled pump in patent leather with a thin diagonal strap. The shoe is priced at $395, which is around £240.
Eagle eyed SATC fans have pointed out that the Diana closely resembles the black Manolo Blahniks Carrie Bradshaw picks out in the Urban Shoe Myth episode as she raids the US Vogue fashion cupboard. And Parker just so happens to have worked on her collection with George Malkemus, the longtime CEO at Manolo Blahnik.,
It seems we have the actresses’ most famous character to thank for her design inspiration. Speaking to Lucky magazine Parker said, “Carrie’s love of shoes meant I got to wear literally hundreds of pairs – and the more I wore, the more I realised that they are often the starting point of the style choices we make.”
The rest of the collection includes other classics with t-bar styles, kitten heels, flats and strappy sandals. The full collection will be unveiled at Nordstrom stores across the US next month.
