Just when the beauty team had started to get bored of writing about chiselled cheeks, a chic natural palette and a perfect milkmaid braid, Julien Macdonald blows the beauty stakes out of the (stained glass) window.
The make-up from the show took inspiration from the beautiful Royal Courts of Justice venue.
The eyes were reminiscent of stained glass windows showcasing hues of electric blue, burgundy and coppers – all taken from L’Oreal Paris eye shadow palettes. This eye look was dramatic but didn’t take away from the stunning embellishment and mesh that the collection had to offer.
Cheeks, lips and hair all had one key theme during the show – high shine. Gloss had been applied to the cheeks, lips and eyes, which gave them that overly dewy, almost plastic effect on the skin.
The models’ hair favoured a wet-look again, with a moussed back tousled look. The sleeked back hair from previous shows was definitely out with little volume on the top of this relaxed just-out-the-shower look.
The models wore their nails in deep winter shades, which complemented the eyes. The polishes were from the L’Oreal Paris collection in Hypnotic Red, Black Swan and Blue Reef.
