Topshop Unique AW14: Catwalk Report

Topshop Unique Catwalk - London Fashion Week 2014

They did it again. Topshop Unique stunned us with their unbelievable A/W collection as well as a very fashionable front row.

With Anna Wintour, Kate Moss, Kendall Jenner and not forgetting the man himself – Sir Phillip Green sat together on the frow, everybody’s eyes were on them while eagerly waiting for the show to start.

As soon as the models began to make an appearance on the catwalk, we gathered that AW14 is set to look very blue. With blue on blue chunky-knit layering creating a paneled look and adorable pinafore dresses with cool collar tips screaming preppy with a twist, we just couldn’t get enough.

The colour palette of grey, blue and black, which was later accompanied with sherbet lemons and champagne tones made the collection very ‘pretty girl gets tough’, especially with the gorgeous knee-high boots, tech fabrics, puffers and oversized trenches.

Using English Supermodels as her muse inspired by their attitude and individuality, the Designer – Emma Farrow definitely got her point across with this beautiful but daring collection and cleverly represented Topshop Unique’s ideal client.

From knee-high boots with shorts, fur gilets over high neck shirts and belted fuzzy coats paired with ankle boot mules, these AW trends are definitely for someone who has their own unique sense of style and is not afraid to stand out from the crowd.

With the collection being described as ‘English Heritage with a rebellious streak’, the textures of the designs definitely reflected this. With fluffy patchwork, sheer layers, snake-print and peacock embellishments, the catwalk was full of attitude and was more than enough to make any good girl go bad.
