Scout Vintage is a fashion hybrid of quality and affordability. Only five minutes’ walk from Sunderland metro station, the shop is creating quite a buzz for the local lovers of vintage.
It caters to both the glamorous and budgeting sides of us all. The clothing is in good condition, sourced mostly from private sellers and at auctions from all over the UK. There are even a few designer labels such as Versace and Burberry hidden among the rails.
Catering for men and women the stock comes in a variety of sizes and from many different eras mainly the 50s to 90s. The shop has a changing room to try on clothing and sells handbags, shoes and accessories.
Scout Vintage may be on the small side, but it is full of soul and character much like the hospitality of its owner Angela Kirtley, who will not hesitate to pick out outfits for you if you’re a vintage virgin.
Listening to songs on the record player as you scout through the racks, there are not many places in Sunderland as satisfying to shop in as this.
