Christian Dior SS14
Even though it may not be a groundbreaking new trend, it’s embodied with Spring and this season they’re new and fresh. You can always count on seeing florals all around you in the shops at this time of the year and it is such a delight, it brightens up your day.
It gets you excited to know summer is just around the corner and you can go out flaunting your legs in a pretty dress.
Floral prints were a plenty on the catwalks, they appeared modern while looking back at the nineties, clashing with other prints but always emerging as on perfectly polished combination.
Well known and up and coming designers all having this trend appearing on their catwalk it was an endless source of inspiration for us and the High Street to put their take on it. With Stella McCartney, Matthew Williamson, Christian Dior, Agnes B, Honor and Rebecca Taylor to name a few who wowed us.
With an abundance of different takes on this trend with delicate florals, vibrant blossoms, mismatched florals and floral suits it can be a bit confusing with what to wear. But fear not I’ll give you a glimpse into some of the best places to shop for florals.
First lets start with the queen of florals, Cath Kidston of course where else would you start to shop.
This being the first season they have created shorts and trousers you need to snap them up, they’re amazing at £38 for the shorts and £45 for the trousers they’re an investment. I have to admit I have both the trousers and shorts, I couldn’t resist. All you then have to do is pair with a white top and brown boots or a contrasting floral top and sandals and you’re ready for spring.
