Jessie J recently revealed the secret to how she keeps her skin hydrated through gruelling long haul flights and it’s a steal at just £3.50.

Posting a selfie on instagram of her face covered in Oilatum, this thick emollient cream is traditionally used to relieve symptoms of dermatitis, but can also be used as a hydrating facemask.

While your sat perusing the inflight entertainment, the pressurized cabin air can dehydrate your skin leaving it looking dull and lackluster, not exactly the look you want to start off our summer holiday.

Other factors that can leave your skin looking less than glowing include, the stress of travelling and dehydration (the free bar isn’t particularly beneficial to your complexion, either).

Follow make-up artists’ lead and next time you fly long haul, pack a small S.O.S kit to see your skin through the flight, containing micellar water to remove make-up and a hydrating face mask to keep your complexion in check.

Also, make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the flight to keep your body hydrated and when you step off the other side, you will look like you’ve had your 8 hours beauty sleep.
