Tommy Hilfiger, the male American designer, will show his S/S15 collection at New York Fashion Week this Monday. Hilfiger has hosted catwalk shows in New York for a number of years and, as well as years of experience, has titles such as ‘Menswear Designer Of The Year’ to his name.
His most recent collection, for A/W14 was a huge success. Set at the top of a mountain, the après-ski themed catwalk show and collection brought us some of the biggest autumnal trends – thick furs, heavy knitwear and beautiful deep colours.
Moving on to what we hope to see come down the catwalk on Monday…
Judging by past Summer collections, Hilfiger will keep the designs preppy, relaxed and comfortable – think effortlessly matched co-ordinates and throw-on jumpers and jackets. Recent collections have also played on our favourite summer trends, like fun sixties dresses and nautical stripes. We are also hoping to see some classic Hilfiger items, like a chic blazer.
What still remains a mystery is the setting of this week’s show, which will hopefully compete with the A/W14 magical winter wonderland.
