Topshop Unique opened and closed the show with fashions hottest model and face of their most recent campaign, Cara Delevingne.
Cara took to the catwalk in a mini tennis-style dress that was followed by more sport chic looks, a trend which is all over this season. We’re talking zip-up polo neck tops, cropped jackets and bowler bags all featuring graphic stripes.
The colour palette started off bold – white with red, blue, burgundy and black. These colours were seen in blocks, or on gingham skirts, adding a girly edge to oversized jumpers and boxy jackets.
The girly edge continued with off-the-shoulder crop tops and co-ordinates in pastel colours. Skirts were mini and shorts were hotpants all finished with fun ruffled hems.
Evening wear came towards the end of the show. Skirts were still super short, but pleated in light satin and sheer fabrics with metallic details. Dresses were long and sheer, worn over hotpants, all in neutral colours and decorated with sequin embellishment.
The make-up for the show was a classic and easy summer look that we could all re-create: dewy, fresh skin, a muted red lip and effortless beach waves in the hair.
With this collection, Topshop Unique did what it does best, brought us designer trends and looks in a wearable way.
