A guide to surviving the Great British weather

It’s happened again; as soon as we’ve all packed our jumpers and boots away it, yet again, feels like winter. How are we supposed to look stylish and keep warm at this time of year? One minute it feels as though we are in the middle of a winter storm in January and the next, Britain can be mistaken for a beach in Spain. Here are a few tips to keeping dry this summer…

A stylish raincoat is currently the most popular way of battling the rain; these rain macs don’t only keep us dry, but due to the thin material they stop us from feeling too warm. They come in all different styles and colours, meaning that it is extremely easy to pair it with some of your favourite summer outfits. And what makes them even better is that they come in a range of different prices. No matter who you are or what your style is, there is definitely one out there for you!

If a raincoat doesn’t make the cut, you can always rely on a trusty umbrella. Dome umbrella’s are the best for keeping your hair dry, and if you take pride in your hair then a clear one is the way forward. They come in all prices, so no matter how much or how little you are willing to spend there are plenty to choose from.

For me, choosing which shoes to wear at this time of year is a nightmare. As much as I would love to wear my glitzy sandals, the weather just does not cooperate. Even though I do love my thick, heavy winter boots, I really do not want to wear them in July. Wearing a light coloured leather boot keeps your feet warm and dry, without dulling your outfit. If these are still too thick for you, then try pairing your summer outfits with a light pair of waterproof wellies and embrace the weather in style!
