Movember, the month that sees men from 21 countries devote their time, effort and attention to growing a moustache, all in the aid of raising awareness for mens health. This Movember, the high street store River Island has created four cotton shirts with some of the proceeds going to help this worthy cause.
Movember helps to raise knowledge around three areas, prostate cancer which is the most common cancer amongst men in the UK. Testicular cancer where the most common age is age 25-49 for diagnosis, and mens mental health where 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed at any given time.
River Island quartet of shirts is classic to its very core, making them suitable for any age or taste. Each shirt has a button-down collar, with embroidered details of a Movember M on to the chest pocket and placket, as well as a moustache on the sleeve.
The four-piece capsule collection is available in:
- French navy with a white polka dot print
- A Lightweight charcoal crosshatch style
- Red and blue with hints of yellow check print
- Classic white with white button detail
Since Movember started in 2003, it has raised globally £345 million and has helped fund over 800 mens health projects.
The shirts are available from selected stores and online now and are priced £35. To find out more about Movember and If you wish to check out Movember or get involved in fund raising then visit their website. click here.
