According to London Fashion Weekend, there are four main trends to look out for this Spring/Summer. These range from Precious Metals to Flower Power to Lace Embrace and Good Sport.
Each trend is different from the next. Lace Embrace allows you to be as girly as you like, but London Fashion Weekend taught us to stray away from the typical white and black lace and go for pastel laces. The look is definitely something new but definitely something worth trying, especially on those pretty spring days.
Good Sport is finally the answer that I personally have been looking for in fashion…permission to be comfy (and wear comfy footwear). Whether its mixing midi skirt with baseball jackets and trainers, or leather tracksuit bottoms and slouch top, this look certainly isn’t for anyone but hey, at least you can be comfy AND look fashionable.
Flower Power arrives every Spring and Summer but each time designers manage to reinvent the look making us fall in love with it each time. From outlandish prints to simple feminine embellishments, Flower Power isn’t my favourite trend of this season but it definitely brightens up those chilly Spring mornings.
Finally, my personal favourite was Precious Metals. Designers have strayed away from the typical black, silver and gold metals and ventured into colour. Brining cobalt blues, fusica pinks and neon yellow metals to the catwalk. I almost didn’t know where to look , so much colour and something that seems new, and oh so stylish.
