Okay, admit it. Like me, you didn’t realise that Mother’s Day was coming up so fast. Well you can put it into your diaries now; the official date is March 30.
But there’s no need to panic! Here at Fashion North we’ve come up with five things you can do to ensure your mother enjoys the day. She certainly deserves to.
1) The Angel Of Corbridge, Northumberland
This is a new and beautiful restaurant with great local food, afternoon tea and great Northumbrian banter. Corbridge is a quaint village outside Hexham and has a lovely walk way along the river, so why not take a stroll before visiting The Angel Of Corbridge that offers a 3 course meal on Mother’s Day for only £25 pound?
With desserts like apple crumble and custard, or warm chocolate cake with ice cream, your mum will not be able to say no.
2) The Baltic, Gateshead
Or, if food with a side of culture is more of your mother’s cup of tea, The Baltic is also offering a two-course meal and a brilliant day out for £14.95 each! You’ll be offered a “glass of fizz” on arrival and there will also be a beauty bar where your mum can be pampered. It’s her day, after all!
2) Supreme Nails, Sunderland
Our mums work extremely hard for us that their poor hands are probably worked to the bone! So why not make up for it and pamper yours? Visit Supreme Nails in The Bridges Shopping Centre and book her in for a manicure. Whether it’s something natural or all out crazy and creative, Supreme Nails have fully qualified technicians that can offer the perfect nail treatment.
Supreme Nails are open on a Sunday 11am- 5pm.
3) Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle
Ever fancied taking your mum to the ballet in London, but can’t afford it? Well, fear not – Tyneside Cinema has taken care of that. The Bolshoi Ballet Live – Marco Spada is screening on Mother’s Day at 4pm.
It is a pantomime ballet in 3 parts that tells the story about love, adventure and a whole lot of drama. So what are you waiting for? Grab your popcorn and check it out.
5) John Lewis
We know that some of you may be living away from home and that can be hard. But that doesn’t mean you have to forget about this very special day. Head across to John Lewis where you can order some flowers, ranging from Heaven Scent Gift Bags to a Supreme White Cottage and Lily Bouquet.
John Lewis provides the e-florist service, where your flowers can be ordered and arrive on the same day. How’s that for dedication?
