Two North-East bloggers are holding a tea party to raise money for Lupus UK.
Rebecca Goddard, 20, and Rachel Charlton-Dailey, 25, have arranged the event named ‘Bloggers Teaspoon’ to bring North East bloggers together to enjoy good conversation over tea and cake.
Held at the Salsa Cafe, Newcastle on May 10 from 1-5pm, attendees of the meet up will enjoy food from the Salsa Cafe, tea from Teapigs and a selection of delicious cakes.
Goodie bags have also been provided by IntuMetrocentre full of treats from an array of local businesses, and there will be a raffle on the day to raise money for Lupus UK.
Event organiser Rachel Charlton-Dailey said: “Myself and Becca decided to run the event as we wanted to allow bloggers in the North East to get together, but also give something back to Lupus UK, as May 10 is World Lupus day.”
As a young person with Lupus, the cause is very close to Rachel’s heart.
She said: “The Bloggers Teaspoon event has received a lot of interest from local bloggers which is fantastic, but I’m also thrilled that we are able to raise money for a charity which could help save my life.”
There are still a few tickets left for the event. If you have a blog and would like to meet some like-minded people from the local area, tickets are £5 and can be bought here with at least £3 going to Lupus UK.
