Early Christmas shopping: the best beauty present round-up

It’s over 70 days away but Christmas panic-buying has already started in mid-October, not least due to HGV driver shortages and dire warnings from retailers.

“It is always a good idea to avoid disappointment and shop early,” said toy retailer Smyths Toys in a public statement, while Amazon advised their customers to order their Christmas presents as early as possible.

To help you plan everything in advance, we explored the market and selected the best budget-friendly shops in Sunderland for Christmas shopping. Whether you are looking for a gift for your mum, your sister, your best friend or you want a small secret Santa present for your colleague, we have got you covered.

LUSH

Lush stores at Christmas look like a little piece of Santa’s workshop but filled with hundreds of their famous limited-edition bath products instead of toys. Snow Fairy, YOG NOG and Cinnamon Roll – to name a few – are all back in The Bridges this year with some festive gift sets that would look great under the Christmas tree.

The Body Shop

Advent calendars are now available in The Body Shop at the Bridges as well as their delicious Christmas collections. Love and Plums has a comforting blend of plum sorbet, peony, and musk, and Kindness and Pears is a more refreshing, fruity scent with notes of pear, strawberry and tonka bean. Whereas, Joy and Jasmine is a floral mix of rose, orange blossom and jasmine.

Boots

If you are on a budget, then Boots has its own affordable range of Christmas products with prices starting at £4. They also have a great selection on their 3 for 2 offer on brands such as Ted Baker, Baylis & Harding and Soap and Glory. A great way to help you save some money this year.

Marks and Spencer

Can we agree that Marks and Spencer bath products are underrated? This year they have some adorable mini-sets and bath bombs that would put a smile on anyone’s face. Next time you fancy some Percy Pigs, have a quick look at their beauty products as well. Just saying.

Next

Even though Next is not typically the shop where you would immediately go to when it comes to Christmas shopping, we spotted some nice sets that would be a great gift idea for secret Santa or stocking fillers, including £4 bath bombs.

Now that you can safely start your Christmas shopping you just need to have fun choosing the right presents. But do it early!
