Luxury beauty brand Clarins is known for age-targeting products but the new My Clarins range works on a gap in the company’s market – ethical product seeking millennials.
The products are all necessities for any young woman’s skincare regime and range from £15 to £24. Working together, they enforce hydration, cleansing and target imperfections. The idea is that they feed the skin and detoxify at the same time.
The fresh new packaging makes these new additions stand out on the Clarins counters. They even have quirky quotes inside relating to the products. The ongoing family-run business is always finding ways to adapt to the needs of their customers and this venture has proved to be extremely popular.
Deborah Cairns, Clarins’ account manager at The Bridges Debenhams counter in Sunderland said: “We sold out about 40 units in the first week. We’ve sold out of our Hydrating Mist twice over. The Hydrating Mist has been one of the most popular products because anybody can use it.”
Featuring plant and fruit ingredients such as moringa, shea butter and fig, the vegan-friendly skincare is 88 per cent of natural origin and feels amazing and light on the skin.
With eco-friendliness at the forefront of beauty, the packaging is recyclable and obtained from sustainable forests. Clear-Out and Pore-Less are the only products in the range which include man-made ingredients such as salicylic acid.

Sustainability is becoming more and more important for the brand. Clarins also work overseas with third world countries to help support them by building schools. They also have the FEED Gift initiative once a year where for every gift bought, Clarins give ten school meals to children worldwide.
The brand hopes to continue this forward thinking with more products soon.
On March 24 a new body care range will be released and it is hoped that it will follow in the success of this range. This collection is set to be perfect for any upcoming spring and summer holidays.
Claire Savage, a Clarins Skincare Consultant with almost 16 years experience said: “It caters for all different varieties of textures. We’re going to be more on the higher levels of sun protection so we’re not going to go along the 10s and 15s. It’s going to be more protection.”
New makeup is also set to be launched on April 14 including 4D mascaras and retractable kohl pencils.
