Two Sides of Valentine’s: Romantic vs Comfy

For this week’s Fashion North style challenge, we got asked to create two looks with the theme ‘Valentine’s Day’. As Valentine’s is not only for the couples, I decided to do a date night look and a comfy Galentine’s look.

For my ‘date night’ look, I chose a classic little black dress, paired with burgundy heels and a bag. When I think of Valentine’s, simplicity is the key to achieve a classic sexy outfit. Too many components and colours to the outfit may take away the focus from you. I chose the most romantic colours, black and a deep red, to keep in theme.

For the look, I stepped out of my comfort zone and did a red lip. The red matched my accessories perfectly and tied the outfit together. As my lips were a deep red, I chose to keep my eye make-up simple because a dark lip and eye-look is a big no no!

For my hair, I slept in heatless curlers for a natural wave.

For my second look, I quite literally wore my favourite pyjamas. Valentines can be different for everyone, and I know for this Valentine’s I will be wearing my Victoria’s Secret set whilst having a pamper night.

However, your favourite pyjamas are also a great option for a cozy night in with your girlfriends, celebrating galentines.

I chose to do my favourite hair-style, a half-up look, with a black velvet bow to match the pjs.
