Get the iconic Cher Horowitz look on the 25th anniversary of Clueless

It’s hard to believe but Clueless, considered to be one of the most iconic fashionable movies ever, premiered 25 years ago.

We all remember Cher (played by Alicia Silverstone) who loves fashion more than anything else. We would sometimes kill for her closet, and in the movie she shows us stunning timeless outfits which have inspired so many fans of the film.

We have decided to recreate the most iconic look from the movie, to show you it’s not impossible to recreate a Clueless look from affordable pieces. You don’t have to have the exact same pieces, you can be inspired by those outfits and be little bit creative.

The most iconic look from the movie is considered a yellow plaid tartan suit. This style combination was used in the movie numerous times. Proof of how iconic this outfit is was shown through Iggy Azalea’s music video for her song Fancy, featuring Charlie XCX from 2014, which was inspired by the film. You can watch it all here.

There was more than one iconic outfit in the film. It is obvious that the character Cher was a fan of preppy three-coloured outfits. Plaid, tartan, checked skirts and blazers, knee-tights, white shirts or T-shirts under sweaters – to simply put it, layering was stylish and cool!
