With filming for Absolutely Fabulous The Movie beginning this month and the rumour mill churning regarding celebrity cameos, there is still only one thing fans are really thinking…. what fashion boundaries can Eddy and Patsy conquer and redefine next?
Edina Monsoon & Patsy Stone are the matriarchs of mischief armed with cheap cigarettes, champagne and smudged lipstick. Patsy is the original Cocaine Kate, veteran of the bohemian beehive, partner in crime to slightly challenged Eddy and the darling of leopard lined smut.
She practically escaped from the womb with punchy red lips and wearing oversized costume jewellery. Sin is in, sweetie. She manages to balance her long lean silhouette in addition to having lapels as big as her bottle of Stoli.
Expect a drug fuelled tapestry of mannish suits, big pearls, snakeskin, clashing prints, Chanel inspired boucle jackets, transparent mesh, long legs and leather clad everything!
Whilst fashion chameleon, Patsy, successfully channels Ziggy Stardust at Studio 54, clueless fashion PR Eddy is a slave to the trends, no matter how hideous or unflattering. Her idiosyncratic offerings of the past have included head-to-toe Burberry print with matching bucket hat to boot, backwards Kangol caps, attention seeking sixth-Spice Girl silver jumpsuits and a fine array of colourful silk bomber jackets.
