Livia Firth launches Marks and Spencer Eco collection

Marks and Spencer announced their new eco fashion range, in partnership with Livia Firth and Eco-Age, to highlight the importance of sustainable fashion. All items in the collection are made from sustainably sourced fabrics and from accredited factories. The collection, titled ‘The Edit’, is a capsule wardrobe that has been designed for the working woman, with key pieces including navy pin striped culottes and skinny jeans.

As part of her role as an Oxfam Global Ambassador, Livia ensures that she connects with people at the beginning of the fashion supply chain. The 46-year-old said: “I am so excited to finally be partnering with a high street retailer and it was very clear why it had to be M&S.

“I have very much admired the astonishing work that M&S has done over the years – seriously, transparently, and with huge commitment throughout the whole company – in both environmental and social justice.

“The M&S eye to quality in its garments and production cycles means this is not fast fashion.”

The collection includes a wool jacket, a cocktail dress, burgundy flats and a roll-neck jumper.

Marks and Spencer’s Executive Director of Marketing, Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne, said: “Livia and her team have the most incredible knowledge of the challenges of making fashion sustainable and it has been a mutually beneficial experience working with her to select this edit of her favourite pieces from our autumn ranges”

The collection is available online and in selected M&S stores NOW.
