London Fashion Week: Peter Pilotto SS16

Peter Pilotto are the kings of covetable prints on perfectly tailored and classic cuts and although they didn’t offer anything new, the boys put on another successful show for SS16.

Situated in Brewer Street car park of London, the duo – Christopher de Vos and Peter Pilotto – behind the contemporary brand used their intimate show space wisely and created a winding, U-turn catwalk whilst their audience huddled together amongst primary-coloured nets which reflected the sporty theme.

As expected, we saw opulent prints modernised in perfect symmetry in pastel tones of lilac, cream and lemon. The models’ hairstyles looked sleek, effortless and let’s just say Peter Pilotto have perfected the ‘no make-up make-up look’ for summer.

Cinched waists and off-the-shoulder necklines gave this energetic show a feminine spin. Wrap skirts in the softest of baby blues with ruffled hems made for an update on the Victorian era, especially when teamed with ditsy floral designs on bell-sleeve blouses and low-cut, lacy slip dresses. Embellished jackets in brilliant white complemented the innovative designs and flat pool sliders slipped in nicely with Peter Pilotto’s signature futuristic style.

The designer pair have updated the sporty, energetic woman and gave her a playful and feminine edge and, quite frankly, we can’t wait for the high street to latch onto these sophisticated designs for SS16.
