Then don’t stress, Fashion North’s latest recruits, Ellie Morkel and Faye Storey, have put together our first party season look book to help you decide what to wear and to give you some style inspiration for your festive party wardrobe…
Look 1: The Classic Playsuit
This dazzling wrap front playsuit, like this one from Topshop at £39, would be an amazing number to celebrate in on New Years Eve as it’s eye catching and a classic statement piece.
Pair it with white pointed court heels, like these which are a steal at only £12 from Primark, and a white clutch bag to compliment the colour of the heels, like this one from Miss Selfridge.
For extra glitz, add silver jewellery like a statement necklace or silver earrings.
A makeup look which would suit this outfit the most would be a nude matte eye along with nude or light pink lipstick and wear your hair in a straight slicked back pony tail.
Look 2: The Glamorous Midi
This glamorous navy midi dress from Miss Selfridge at £26 would be amazing to showcase at your Christmas party. This body hugging, low cut dress gives a great shape and a feminine look.
Pair it with classic black or white pointed court heels like the ones from Primark for £12 along with a white or silver sparkled bag, like this one from Miss Selfridge for £22.
Some silver diamonds would also look amazing around the neck along with some dangling earring to complete the outfit.
A smokey eye and dark lipstick would finish off the look perfectly, and curl your hair in loose waves to add volume and glamour.
Look 3: The Sparkly Two Piece
This shimmering black two-piece from River Island (Top £22 and Skirt £18) is bound to make you the centre of attention as the navy and silver glitter stands out when the light catches it, ensuring that you’ll sparkle all night long. The velvet texture and high neck with long sleeves would be perfect for a Christmas or New Year night out.
This two-piece could be worn along with black or white pair of heels, like these white court heels at £12 from Primark and this white and silver sparkly bag from Miss Selfridge.
Go dramatic with silver glitter eyeliner along with a classic red lip, which would contrast with the outfit to finish the look amazingly. A messy bun would highlight this outfit and show off those amazing sparkly dangling earrings.
Look 4: The Perfect Peplum
If you are not a fan of dresses, this sequin peplum top, like this one from Topshop at £28, along with black jeans, like these from Primark at £11, would be an alternative yet stylish way to rock up to any Christmas or New Years Eve event.
The top says it all by the sparkles; we’ve paired the top with these jeans from Primark for £11 along with a pair of white shiny pointed heels, which are also from Primark at £12.
Go light on jewellery as the top is the statement piece, but a cute sparkly clutch to carry your essentials would be the perfect finish to the outfit.
Straight slick back hair, a dark red lip and a smokey eye with a pretty pair of natural false lashes is a perfect edgy makeup look to complete the look.
Look 5: Casual Yet Stylish
This stylish but casual Christmas day outfit is ideal to wear if you are out celebrating with the family or even for a casual night out.
The blue tinselled top from River Island at £10 is very festive along with a pair of comfortable white jeans, like these from Topshop at £36.
This look could be completed with a pair of either black or white heals, like these black strappy Topshop heels for £12 in the sale. This outfit offers a wide range of choice on what jewellery could be worn, silver, gold or even black, the choice is yours.
We’ve paired this look with a necklace from H&M for £8 and a large quilted clutch bag with a gold strap from Topshop for £10 making carrying essentials around easy.
Curls and a smokey eye look would be very appropriate to complete this outfit, but if worn along with gold jewellery, a gold glittery eye would also work with a red or pink dark lip.
Look 6: Monochrome Sequins
This sequin crop top from Topshop at £10 from the sale is perfect to wear with a classic pair of skinny jeans for a casual outfit for a Christmas party. The vintage flowered pattern adds a flirty flare and a feminine, unique look.
We’ve chosen these white high waisted Joni jeans from Topshop at £36, which contrast with the black top; although you could wear this with black jeans too.
Give the outfit an edgy look with these heels from Topshop for £12; from glitter to nude, any heeled shoes would help dress this outfit up.
Add a classic black clutch, like this quilted clutch bag with gold strap from Topshop for £10, or add a glittery clutch for some glitz to your look.
If you are wearing all black, then be brave with a daring eye look; like a glittery gold eye with a sheer red or orange colour lipstick.
