My experience with micro-blading (UPDATE)

Read my previous article here:

Hello, me again coming to you with micro-bladed brow updates…
Now that I have had my eight week touch-up appointment, have ‘completed’ look and my experience.

So to recap, for anyone that missed the ‘3 Things To Know Before Getting Your Eyebrows Microbladed’ article, my natural eyebrows were very uneven, sparse and caused me to cancel many a night out due to the amount of stress they caused me (I wish I was joking).
Therefore, I opted to get my eyebrows micro-bladed which is essentialy a form of semi-permanent tattooing, during which the pigment is inserted under the skin to give the illusion of full and even brows.

After my eyebrows healed from the first session I was over the moon with the results and could not believe what I a difference one session could make. I didn’t think things could get much better for me in the eyebrow department. I then had the touch-up appointment that fixed all the minor problems, e.g. slight fading of the tail, so now I can say that I am the proud owner of two near perfect brows.

Although I could sit and rave about my new eyebrows until the cows come home, I thought I should also address a few ‘dis-advantages’ if you will.

  1. So onto the elephant in the room. How much it cost. Truth is, a little more than what I believe the average person would be prepared to spend on their eyebrows. But, I scrimped, I saved and I speculated on the decision for, literally, three years before I finally took the plunge.

2. One point I would like to stress is how important it is to search for a good eyebrow technician and ensure they have a full portfolio of their previous work. You don’t want to be in the position these people found themselves in:

3.Okay, so I assume this will differ from person to person, but I found the process made my brows quite sore despite the use of numbing cream, which was applied multiple times throughout. It wasn’t so much a ‘painful’ process but was most definitely at some points uncomfortable, although this was anticipated because it was hardly going to be painless. Beauty is pain and I would do it all again.

So if this is something you are interested in just be prepared. I don’t want to see you on the next ‘Top 5 most epic eyebrow fails” that pops up on my Facebook timeline.
