Personal Style (Day and Night Look)

In week 3 my styling challenge was to showcase my personal style which included a daytime look and a night time look. My go to day look consists of a decent pair of denim jeans which will match with anything. I have a few pairs of denim jeans as they do go with anything from casual to “jeans and a nice top”. I have a collection of different brand jeans, but these ones are from River Island. I often style my jeans different depending on the day, but I wanted to stay on the casual side for my daytime look, so I styled them rolled down at the bottom, without a belt and open at the button to give a carefree look. I am wearing a basic long sleeved black top, however the lace cuffs of the sleeve and lace running across the neckline of the top gives the top more uniqueness in my opinion. Finally, to complete my daytime look all that was needed was sunglasses. In my view sunglasses are the make or break of an outfit sometimes, not to mention they come in handy on a sunny day. For my daytime outfit I felt they completed my look.

Night Time Look: I would say my night time look is slightly more glam. I mentioned previously “jeans and a nice top” and would put this look into that category. The top I am wearing is to me a more glam kind of look. My top has a thin strap and is shaped at the bust it also has beautiful soft pleats running down the bottom of the top. My top is a satin material giving it a soft feel and shiny appearance which is why I would refer to this top as more glam. The only accessories that I felt were suited to this top for a night time look was my necklace. If my necklace wasn’t paired with this top, I think the outfit would look barer because the tops style is low-cut.

Overview: I edited all five of my photos on photoshop and I decided to go down the route of editing them in a way to give off a slight retro feel. I used a mixture of green, red and yellow hues to give off a vintage vibe about the photos. I followed a tutorial on how to make your photos look more like they are from a vintage magazine and this how mine turned out. Additionally, the last image (the blue one) was experimental, and I used different lenses in studio to see how they’d work, and I thought this one worked out well.
