Stand out this Spring with the colour blocking trend

Why fit in when you were born to stand out? That is exactly what you can do with the latest revival of the colour blocking trend seen all over social media.

Revived from 2011, the trend involves taking colours on opposite ends of the colour wheel and pairing them together to make a compelling bold outfit. There are no rules when it comes to colour blocking, and instead it is left to your imagination, with endless opportunities and freedom.

Colour blocking is certainly no stranger to fashion influencer Chloe Wagstaff’s Instagram page, with the trend broadcast many times already. Speaking on the trend, she said: “I’ve been obsessed with colour blocking this season. Zara has been amazing for brightly coloured pieces and I’ve been enjoying playing around with bright colours to create fun and vibrant outfits for the spring!”

While this trend is not for everyone, here at Fashion North, we are loving the expressive trend. To save you the hassle, or to inspire you, we have put together a number of colour blocking outfits perfect for the coming post lockdown summer months.  After being locked in the house for what seems to be a lifetime, we can all agree that nothing is too dressy.
