Styling household items: Bin Bag Chic

This week’s styling challenge was all about being creative and using household items to create outfits.

I used two pink bin bags to create a two-piece set that’s perfect for summer: a halterneck top with ties at the back and a long skirt that could also be turned into a mini skirt.

I didn’t really have an idea of what I was going to do, all I knew was that I wanted to use pink bin bags, instead of the original black/grey colour. For the halter top, I used the bin bag handles and hung them around the neck of the mannequin and had an idea of the shape of the top.
