The little black dress is a fashion staple. From Charli XCX in family UNfriendly sheer, to Maya Jama’s timeless bodycon, the BRITs were a night of classic glamour and daring ensembles.
The BRITs were a night full glitz, glam and award-winning speeches in the London’s O2. Despite the sparkle and colour we’ve recently seen on red carpets (yes, I’m talking about you, Timothee Chalamet), some BRITs attendees this year chose the safe and timeless option- a little black dress. With the latest season of Love Island wrapping up, Maya Jama has no days off, as she was shining on the BRITs red carpet last week. The TV host chose an archive John Galliano gown. The strapless velvety dress was oozing with glamour, as Jama was snapped whilst seemingly having fun at the awards. She accessorised her look with a shining diamond necklace and rings. For shoes, Maya opted for simple, shiny black pumps. With simple nude makeup and wavy hair down her back, Jama channeled Old Hollywood glamour with a contemporary twist, making her the ultimate effortlessly cool girl.

Out of this world galactic and chic: model Jourdan Dunn was named on of the best dressed at the BRITs this year following her dazzling all-black get up from Mugler SS ’25. The blazer and skirt set featured silver dots across the fabric, making it shine. Jordan wore black Mugler pumps with a jewel-encrusted ankle strap from the same collection. Dunn looked bejewelled in earrings, bangles and rings from Bucherer Fine Jewellery. Her look was completed with a veiled cocktail hat from celeb-approved British milliner Noel Stewart.

The mother of ‘Brat summer’ not only swept the awards, taking home 5 statuettes, but became the highlight of the night with her sheer gown from Dilara Fındıkoğlu’s AW ’25 “Venus From Chaos” collection. The see-through black dress, worn over a waist-snatching nude corset and black underwear, caused mayhem for ITV, following tons of nudity complaints from viewers. Oozing with chic and mystery, Charli added a black sheer hood for ultimate gothic glamour. The total-black look was completed with black Christian Louboutin pumps and gracious diamond earrings. Charli is no stranger to a controversial red carpet look, so this year’s “free the nipple” BRITs are no difference.
Racy and lacy: Davina McCall

Davina McCall let the world know she’s back after recovering from her brain cyst surgery last year. The 57-year old stunned in a black lace dress, that made sure all eyes were on her. McCall attended the event with her partner Michael Douglas, and in a short interview on the red carpet, stated that her look is inspired by taking back control over ageing: “I thought what should I do? And I thought go see-through.” The look was completed with black pumps and simple makeup. We love it.
