Botanical Romance is a showcase work I have produced over my time at university so far. I wanted to encapsulate the general aesthetic of my work into my images and portray my brand identity. I chose to hold the shoot in a garden using natural light as I felt it reflected my aesthetic. I used a Nikon digital camera to radiate that imperfect vintage romance ambiance.
Captured here my model is wearing a ruffled white shirt I made in my first year. I have paired this with a classic pair of blue Levis 501 jeans and black ballet flats. I thought pairing the shirt with simple pieces was the best option as it is quite an exaggerated design and allows the shirt to shine.
Here my model is wearing a denim trench coat. This is one of my favourite pieces I have made, from our Sam Weller denim project completed in second year. I wanted the coat to shine on its own so I styled it simple fastened up as I think the garment speaks for itself.
Photographed, is my model wearing a beige hooded trench coat from Zara, paired with black Levis jeans. I accessorised with a crochet bag that I made in first year. I think the pattern and colour of the bag complement the minimal colour palette of the outfit.
Lastly, I dressed my model in a denim skirt, with utility details, that was also part of my Sam Weller denim project for second year. I accompanied this piece with a plain grey t-shirt from Cos.
