Named Drapers Shoe Designer of the year in 2013, Kat Maconie, is developing quite the celebrity fan base.
The 30-year-old British businesswoman has gone from strength to strength since her small studio and range of ballerinas in West London back in 2009. Having designed the shoes for the Fyodor Golan catwalk at London Fashion Week in September, she is about to embark on the expansion of a lifetime.
Her signature heels of black, strong prints and gold details have adorned the likes of Jessie J and Keira Knightley and appeared on pages within Vogue and Elle to name a few. Kat’s stunning footwear collection is currently sold in over 18 countries as well as the leading department stores in the UK.
After such a successful five years, Kat is set to take on China with a flagship store opening November 6, in the Westgate Mall in Shanghai, home to Givenchy, Issey Miyake and many more.
