Denim, baseball caps and florals – what a time to be alive!
Kenzo has been teasing the new face of their brand for a week, giving us only a peek at the LA Collection Memento 2 campaign and only glimpses of a smile and long golden locks.
But for those of us with a keen eye, it didn’t take long to figure out who those golden locks belong to; let’s face it, it could only be one person – Britney Spears!
The Queen of Pop is back! The French Fashion house have officially announced Britney Spears as the face of their new collection, which is inspired by the 1986 Paris runway debut of Kenzo jeans.
Denim is front and centre of this collection, which includes a full bodied denim trench coat, a fresh take on spring florals and the iconic Japanese woodblock print.
Britney Spears told Vogue that now she’s a mum to two sons, 11-year-old Jayden James and 12-year-old Sean Preston, she makes a much more conscious decision to not “take as much risk” with her fashion choices, adding that’s she’s usually in a nightgown when she’s at home with her children.
”I think it’s funny because as a mother, you don’t you don’t take as much risk with your style,” she told Vogue.
“I think when I was younger I took so many risks and really went for it. There was no planning what I wore and it was like, okay, I am just going to put on the most outrageous thing. I think as a mother you hold back from that out of fear of embarrassing your kids and out of respect for them.”
The brand is launching a #kenzolovebritney hashtag – so if you’re excited as we are, then get involved!
