Bye Bye Boredom: Five ways to spice up your everyday chores

Are you fed up of doing the dishes? Stuck at home with nothing but laundry? WELL SO ARE WE!

It can be tough to find motivation when we’re surrounded by household chores, but there are ways to make it more bearable. It really does help if you break up tasks into smaller manageable chunks.

By breaking up the monotony and finding ways to make chores more enjoyable, we can all get through these BRUTAL tasks with a bit of sugar and spice!

1. Throw on a comfy cardigan or sweater and turn on your favourite music or even a podcast!

It really helps make chores less daunting; YouTube, Spotify, and Amazon music have all kinds of interesting and fun podcasts that really help you get in the zone! Personally I love “Anything Goes” by Emma Chamberlain which dives into positive thinking,  fashion and much more.

Remember you are worth much more than the stress you put on yourself, chores don’t have to be a burden; do it at your pace and have fun with it. Jump around, dance, be coo coo crazy!

“Inspiration does exist, but it must find you working.”

Sometimes you have to force yourself to start and then you find the motivation and inspiration to do more!

2. Wear your favourite cosy outfit

Put on that cute as dungarees and dress like a cute farmer version of yourself!

But seriously, dungarees are the coziest and most durable clothing to wear in daily life and they make you feel like a walking cottage core Pinterest board, who doesn’t want that?!

Dressing in your favourite comfy outfit is the best way to feel motivated and confident for those days when you just aren’t feeling it; slay those chores away!

3. Wear your favourite colour

Wearing your favourite colour definitely lightens your mood and make you just feel.. YOU.

Psychologists say we usually favour certain colours depending on our personal environment and the weather; We love those colours as we associate it with things we love.

Feeling in touch with things that make you happy in times of stress can really help keep you grounded.

Colour in general makes life feel much more.. well colourful!

Don’t forget to give yourself a break!

Take a walk outside,  or call a friend for a quick chat in between tasks; Its important to look after yourself and give your brain and body rest.

4. Wear fun accessories

From a bright fun pair of sunglasses to fun earrings, Fun accessories are destined to bring a smile to anyone’s face!

5. Wear skates or fun shoes!

The best way to make stuff fun is roller skates, they are the cutest addition to any outfit and add that vintage throwback that everyone loves (remember to be careful when wearing skates and wear protective gear).

Get in touch with your inner child, adulting may be hard but you are still you.
