When people say Cara Delevigne, one of the first things that comes to mind is that she’s one of the world’s fastest rising models. But in this case she’s really broadening her horizons with her new role in the Chanel fashion film.
The British model, who rose to fame when she became the 2011 face of the Burberry, was over the moon when she was told she was going to be working with the Happy singer, Pharell, on the track entitled CC the World.
The film is called Reincarnation and recreates the history of the iconic jacket that is one of Chanel’s most famous creations. The film sees Pharell play a bell boy that inspires Gabrielle (Coco) Chanel to create the masterpiece. In the extended sequence Pharrell plays Franz Joseph I, the Emperor of Austria and Waltzes with Cara who plays his wife, Empress Elisabeth “Sisi” of Austria.
The full feature film is set to be revealed at the Métiers d’art collection in Salzburg next week on December 1. It’s also being shown on Chanel’s website at the same time. In the mean time, Chanel have a 40 second teaser trailer on their website.
This teaser trailer got us thinking about other celebrity collaborations that are definitely worth a watch.
