Dear Santa, we’ve been very very good…
There’s something interesting about items that we yearn to want to but can’t have. As fashion journalism students, we are guilty as charged to say that we have a long wishlist of things that are impossible to afford but still admire from a distance.
However, with Christmas just right around and it being the season for giving and most importantly, receiving, there might just be a slight chance of finally getting that dream item that you want.
Fashion North writers share their all-time dream Christmas presents.

If I could have anything this Christmas, it would have to be a Chanel classic flap bag in black with gold hardware. This has to be my dream bag for as long as I can remember and I can’t wait to town it one day. Chanel is such a classic brand and this bag is so iconic, I feel as though it will be something that you have in your collection for a very long time. Chanel is known for doing annual price increase and therefore this bag is also an investment piece.

I have been constantly telling myself that after getting a new job, I would definitely treat myself to a pair of new boots. Although that’s not been done and dusted yet, I’m hoping that I would miraculously still get the pair that I want which is the Whatta Showdown Knee High Platform Boots from Lamoda. It’s been on my mind since I’ve laid my eyes on them on Lamoda’s website and ever since then I could not stop thinking about it.
I’m really inclined with Y2K fashion and I just think that the boots are really cute especially in white as they could add a bit of edge in the outfits. Therefore since platform boots are back in season again, it would be nice to get those boots to be part of the trend too.

I cannot express this enough, but for this Christmas, the one item that I would really want to have is Gucci’s Leather Lug Sole Horsebit loafer. The details of the shoe itself play a big part in Gucci history and it pays homage to the Equestrian world too. Personally, the loafers give off an edgier look that fits well with most of my outfits compared to Mary Janes that are much more preppy and classic. At the same time, due to its gold chan and embroidered bee at the back, it could give a luxurious touch even if my outfit were to look simple too.

The Le Grand Bambino crossbody strap handbag by Jacquemus has been on my mind for a while now and is 100 per cent my dream Christmas present to myself. I’ve always liked a more structured bag and this cross-body bag is just the kind of luxury I need this festive season. Plus, it will go with everything! It’s a little different to the usual Jacquemus bag that is all over Instagram at the minute but is still definitely on trend with its dreamy brown leather.

For this Christmas, my dream item that I would really like to own is a Louis Vuitton handbag, but not just any Louis Vuitton handbag as I’ve got my eyes on the Neverfull MM. I’ve always been drawn to that bag ever since I was a little girl, as it has constantly appeared in movies that I used to watch. Not to mention, they are simply iconic due to their timeless design and can suit almost any outfit. The best part of this bag that I admire the most is the fact that it’s roomy too and it can fit all my essentials.

For this Christmas, it would be great if I could get a Hermes leather apple watch strap. I got my Apple Watch for my birthday and I was surprised that it soon become something indispensable to me and now I can’t leave the house without it. The Hermes leather strap classic would elevate the watch and add a luxurious and classic touch to it. When you think about it, it is funny that the strap is more expensive than the watch itself, but I guess that’s what fashion is all about.

If it’s one thing that I would like for Christmas, it would be the Dyson Air Wrap. It might be an inanimate object but it looks absolutely pretty. The reviews that I have read regarding the Air Wrap has never been disappointing too, and I’m just very much impressed by how it’s engineered to be for multiple hairstyles. Not to mention, it comes with various sizes of curler attachments and serves a two-in-one purpose of having to style and dry your hair at the same time. At the moment, the price of it is close to 500 pounds, which is something that I don’t have but I’m manifesting it.
