Debenhams – through the eyes of a visual merchandiser

For the styling challenge, we wanted to create a look for a style conscious man, which could be worn casually when paired with some trainers or dressed up with some brogues. The mac is a piece that can be worn all season alongside some light classic trousers. We also wanted to add a lot of texture within this look as it is a key feature that runs throughout Hammond & Co.

When we were given a tour around Debenhams, Amber (the visual and product team leader) explained that Red Herring has been trying to engage with a younger target market with their clothing range. With this in mind, we decided to create a utility-inspired look as this is a key trend at the moment. We imagined the look being worn for a casual gathering or drinks with friends.
