Foundation to is an essential in most girl’s makeup bags and having the right one is vital.

Should we splash out on an expensive one or stick with a budget?

Coverage can personally make or break a foundation, so we’ve tested the Estee Lauder Double Wear against Max Factor FaceFinity All Day Flawless 3 in 1.

The Estee Lauder foundation is priced at £29.50 has excellent coverage, so if you have acne prone skin then this is brilliant. It also has an added SPF 10 and isn’t too heavy for the skin. On a downside, the bottle is quite heavy meaning that it would probably be difficult to carry around in your make-up bag. However, it does have a long lasting finish, so you don’t necessarily have to keep applying it throughout the day. Another downside to this product is the application, it’s difficult to get the foundation out without the use of a pump.

If you’re on a budget (like many of us as students), the Max Factor FaceFinity is affordable at £11.99. It also has an added primer and concealer giving it good coverage and is available in six shades. However, the foundation doesn’t last as long as Estee Lauder

Overall Verdict: I would still choose the Estee Lauder Double Wear, mainly because of the coverage and how long the foundation lasts for.
