Rare preloved bags from some of the world’s most renowned fashion houses will be available for sale at Handbag Clinic’s new Newcastle store.

Style-conscious customers will be able to snap up a piece of fashion history when the new store opens on Mosley Street on November 27.

Handbag Clinic, which repairs high-end designer handbags and leather goods, as well as fixing worn red Christian Louboutin soles, opened its first standalone store on London’s Kings Road earlier this year.

Now, it is launching in Newcastle with its largest shop, where it can not only provide TLC to handbags in need of anything from a clean to a full re-colour, but it is also selling coveted accessories from the likes of Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Celine. Many of the vintage and pre-owned bags are must-have pieces loved by A-list celebrities.

Handbag Clinic Newcastle manager Cherry Cumberland said: “Handbags from some of these designers simply aren’t available from the high street in Newcastle, let alone rare pre-owned finds like this so we’re expecting huge levels of interest from clients who want to build up a completely unique designer collection.

“Our bags are all guaranteed authentic and have been sourced globally from customers and trusted suppliers so we’re excited to be able to offer them for sale in Newcastle.

“There’s a huge demand for luxury goods in the city and every fashionista dreams of owning a unique, designer bag, whether their favourite designer is Chanel, Celine or Louis Vuitton. Choosing a vintage or pre-owned bag means women in the North East can own and wear a piece of fashion history.”

Some of the first handbags for sale will include a Chanel Cambon large tote bag in cream lambskin leather with the iconic black CC logo. Other Chanel bags include a classic quilted handbag in navy blue lambskin leather with gold hardware and a Cambon bowling bag in pink lambskin. The Cambon is a favourite of celebrities such as Victoria Beckham.

Handbag Clinic has also sourced Louis Vuitton bags, including the classic Speedy 25 monogram and limited edition Alma Black Multicolore and the White Multicolore, which was designed by the contemporary Japanese artist Takashi Murakami. The Multicolore was first launched in 2003 in a collaboration brought together by the French fashion house’s former creative director Marc Jacobs and is becoming increasingly rare as the style is no longer being made by Louis Vuitton.

For fans of fellow French designer Celine, a luggage phantom tote in tan calfskin leather will also be for sale; the same model as carried by the likes of Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, Naomi Campbell and Victoria’s Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio.

Handbag Clinic opens on Mosley Street, Newcastle, on November 27.
