Home Comforts: How I Hygge

Everyone needs that personal space which is just their own, to wind down after a long day. A comfort zone where you can close the door and just be on your own. My bedroom is that sanctuary.

Full of my favourite things, old, and new, I’ve created a space where I feel at home. Surrounded by presents from friends, and memories with family, I can shut out the world and truly relax. I recognise the smell of my bedroom instantly, with vanilla incense, filling the entire room. Strong but subtle, it makes my space familiar. My accessories scream girliness, with floral and pink being a reoccurring theme. My pink blossom flowers climb my bedroom window, bringing the outside in and adding a tone of elegance.

Other favourite features include my initialised light- up ornament and candle, giving my room a chilled vibe. No evening is complete without a cup of tea, in my personalised mug of course, a present which reminds me of my 21st. This mug usually sits on my ‘Lauren Conrad’ Fashion book, which I flick through each night to wind down. A last minute buy when I designed my room is my pink and gold cushion, the height of comfort. Perfect for curling up with or just adding a bit of glam.

Last but not least, I live by positive, motivational life quotes to inspire me throughout the day. I believe a good mind set leads to a good day.
