To celebrate their Let Your True Colours Shine fashion month at intu Metro Centre, the shopping centre will be hosting a series of SS catwalk shows from today (Friday March 27) until Sunday March 29.
A variety of stores from the centre will be showcasing their latest collections, with everyone from high street favourites Topshop and River Island to Primark and Tessuti. There’ll be both menswear and womenswear featured, leaving it perfect for anyone looking for some summer fashion inspiration.
“This is our biggest event of the year.” says Lisa McLeman, assisting marketing manager, “It’s been really exciting to try and incorporate colour into things around the mall, such as the chairs surrounding the stage. We’ve already received an excellent feedback from both the customers and the retailers involved. Plus the clothes featured in the shows often sell out, which we’re really proud of.”
intu Metro Centre will be providing plenty of updates via their social media channels, with exclusive content and competitions for those who get involved. Rachel Bainbridge, PR and digital media coordinator, explained to us that there’ll be an printer located near the show, which allows you to print off your selfies in a few clicks – simply by tagging @intumetrocentre @hellofashion_uk and including #intucolours into either your Instagram post and/or tweet. If that isn’t reason enough to get snapping, you could find yourself winning an incredible intu prize package.
Alongside the catwalk show, there’ll be The BigiIntu Clothes drop which works with Centrepoint, the UK’s largest leading charity for young people. They are encouraging everyone to donate any of their unused pieces of clothing (you know, the ones that have been in your wardrobe the past year unworn). Every donation received will be given to homeless young people in the region, allowing them to attend job interviews and giving them a future.
And that isn’t all, with the focus being on introducing colour into your wardrobe, the style team will be on hand to give you colour analysis’ – giving suggestion and advice into what colour will best suit you and how any of your wardrobe queries. They’ll also be explaining the low down into their various personal shopping services that they can provide.
