A Newcastle based sportswear brand owner has re-introduced her brand, Force Mentale, after a struggle with her mental and physical wellbeing.
Sarah Elliot, owner of Force Mentale, wants the brand to be a safe space for mental health and disability as well as fitness in the gym, after her own experience of using exercise to help her own mental wellbeing.
She said: “I have always wanted a clothing brand, but not just any ordinary brand; I always wanted a purpose behind it. In 2022, I faced some of the hardest challenges as I had a breakthrough seizure after 12 years of being seizure-free. I lost my job, my ability to drive, and what felt like a great deal of my independence. The gym was my only safe space, where I could clear my head and escape.”

Sarah started her business in 2022 but has only recently committed to investing in it properly. She said: “I’m so excited to finally feel ready to launch this brand that has been an idea of mine since 2022 it feels amazing to see it coming to life.”
To celebrate the new collection, Force Mentale are hosting a launch party at Hidden Heights in Gateshead on 23rd November, 2024. The event will supply complimentary food and drinks, as well as live DJs such as DJ Sushi Sound and Miss Bundz. You can purchase your tickets here.

“The launch is all about building a community for my brand and gaining some exposure to the brand and finally, letting everyone see what I’ve been working on.”
The next steps for Force Mentale are to set up pop-up shops and stalls around the UK for Christmas, so keep an eye out for the next events on their Instagram @force__mentale.
