Life With A Fashion Alter-Ego

An alter-ego is defined as an alternate self, that differs from your true personality. It can be a persona you choose to project and use as a vizard at any moment on any day. A persons ‘alter-ego’ is thought to be their second self, hidden underneath the surface. I believe there is such a thing as a ‘fashion alter-ego’, choosing a different style to reflect current moods or one of many personas. Read on for a day in the life of someone with a fashion alter-ego.

 

It is said that when growing up, you find your style through your inner self and your surroundings. This being, for example, the people around you, music you are exposed to, the culture you are introduced to, the films you stumble upon and the trends we consume. Your style is influenced by what you are drawn to on the outside world. But what if you are drawn to all music, all designers, all cultures and all styles?

This fashion shoot is an adaptation of what it feels like to be in limbo with your style. From waking up, you might feel a certain style or mood and when the day progresses, you may find yourself in a completely different style persona. An individuals style does not have to be fixed and can have variation depending on what you feel and want to express that day.

 

In the morning, waking up as a minimalist, wearing simple clothing with neutral colours.

Leaving the house in trending streetwear fashion, bright coloured Adidas trainers and an Urban cap.
