A Teesside-based magazine held a launch party last week to celebrate their 15th issue which features Netflix star Corina Brown as the cover girl.
Around 100 people gathered to The Biscuit Factory, in Newcastle, to support Sunday Girl, an independent fashion publication, and hear from a panel of inspiring celebrities.
These included Race across the World star Betty Mukherjee, Dip Club founders Meg Rotheroe Hemming and Katie Scrafton, and paralympic gold medalist Faye Rogers.
The women chatted with editor Abigail Dennison and deputy editor Milly Hutchcraft about womanhood, resilience, and how our “northern grit” can propel us into better opportunities.

The 15th issue features Corina Brown, an actress best known for her role in Netflix show Heartstopper, on the front cover.
The magazine describes itself as ‘organic, authentic and independent’ and this manifesto was shown at the launch party.
There was a range of small women-owned businesses with stalls selling everything from prints to donuts and even tattoo and piercing pop-ups.
