Tom Seddon, from DEEP vintage clothing, started up in the North East back in 2004 and has since grown substantially, showing that independent fashion is still alive and strong.

32-year-old Tom said: “Our open week was unbelievable we haven’t beaten that week yet, you dip in and out of being flavour of the month and it’s a lot of pressure.

“When I was twenty two vintage seemed unheard of and that’s what made it sell; now everyone has their own little boutiques and shops and it’s not as unique anymore. But I would still like to think that ‘Deep’ clothing is still one of the top out there.”

However, Tom claims that his style isn’t what you might expect.

He said: “I like a challenge I want to be unique, I don’t wear vintage that you would typically see like a denim jacket and skinny jeans. I would wear something you don’t normally class as vintage because that makes it different.”

1. Rap up warm this season with this beige over sized winter coat, like this one from ASOS, to make those cold days a little less miserable. Ditch the boring black and whites and extenuate your look with this sheepskin snugly coat.

2. Check out Deep’s new oversized shirts, worn by Kerrianne Covell; this retro shirt is a must have this season keeping some colour to those minimal winter outfits. Pair with a baggy shirt or spice it up a bit by tying it round the waist with some stunning skinny Levi jeans.

3.Deep brings us some of the most retro twin sets we have ever seen, so if you want to ditch the playsuits and feel more adventurous this is the style for you. This is a perfect look for anyone who has that quirky edge to their look and likes to stand out from the crowd.

4. Levi shorts never get old; yes I know its still winter and cold but why not try a pair with some funky tights and a warm baggy jumper to make your winter vibe different. These shorts are an ‘IT’ buy this season so jump on the bandwagon and be fashion forward with these stylish pair.

5. You can’t beat a good old over sized top to complement many of the outfits in your wardrobe, like this casual tee from Topshop. This is a style that is never getting old and if you haven’t got one yet, you don’t know what you’re missing! This is the key look to have in the colder weather, its affordable and goes with anything; it will definitely make your wardrobe unique and complete.
