Star Nails, a brand new spa nail salon, has opened its doors in Sunderland. Fashion North decided to pop in on their opening day and check it out.
As we approached the salon and peered through the window, we were greeted at the door and welcomed into the shop.
The salon itself is set up over two floors, with nail stations on both floors in order to cater for several customers at a time. The layout was quite spacious and pleasant, with a great amount of light shining in from the huge windows on the bottom floor.
With it being Black Friday and their opening day, the salon was extremely busy, but the 10 minute wait allowed us to take in the lovely features. The salon has vintage wallpaper and sofas in the waiting room, glass chandeliers hanging on each floor, and even the stations have dainty glass pots to hold the gel nail solutions. Yes, it appeared as though each detail had been thought through and matched perfectly.
The service was excellent. It started with beverages in the waiting room, and the service carried on throughout the treatment, with the employees frequently asking if I was happy with my nails, and if there was a tiny smudge on the nail, they would correct it or start over until they were perfect.
At the end of the service, complimentary hand lotion was offered and the door held open again. For us, it was 5 star service from arriving until leaving.
They are offering a 30 per cent off, offer on all services until December 6.
Prices start from £5 for a polish change up to £22 for a full set of glitter acrylic nails.
