British Fashion Award winners 2014

British Fashion Awards 2014 - London

It’s one of the most prestigious fashion events of the year, a night where only the fanciest of frocks are donned and the industry’s elite are honoured. Taking place at the grand London Coliseum, the glitz and glamour from designers to models did not leave us disappointed.

It was an especially big night for American Vogue editor, Anna Wintour, who received the Outstanding Achievement award. Presented by John Galliano, he commended Anna for her long contribution to many charities through fashion and even added his own sentimental anecdote about heating baked beans on a bunsen burner with her at the very beginning of his career.

The only person to collect more than one award at the ceremony was artistic director, Nicolas Ghesquière, for his work at Louis Vuitton, which were International Designer and the award for Creative Campaign.

Photographer, Chris Moore, was honoured with the Special Recognition award for his services to fashion; perhaps his most prestigious to date.

The two other big awards of the night were the hotly anticipated menswear designer and womenswear designer, won by J.W. Anderson and Erdem.

Emma Watson was voted for by the public to receive the British Style award, presented by last year’s winner, Harry Styles.

Other big industry names at the awards were Victoria Beckham (Brand of the Year winner), Cara Delevingne (Model of the Year winner), Kendall Jenner, Alexa Chung and even some VS angels too – Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls are in London for the Victoria’s Secret fashion show tonight (Tuesday December 2).
