Situated just outside Haymarket Metro Station, sits a cosy little nail salon neatly tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the City.
Nail Box nail salon, is ran by two sisters from Newcastle. The family run business feel is apparent as soon as you walk through the door, greeted by a cheery smile and warm welcome, unlike some nail salons where they barely notice you’ve arrived. Nicole, age 28, and Demi, age 27, are the most welcoming of people, the conversation is forever flowing, even whilst having your nails done – multi-tasking wonder women!
The hidden gem, that seats just two customers at a time, was opened in 2013, and the talented sisters can have up to 100 customers per week. They offer a variety of nail enhancements, including manicures, pedicures, acrylic and gel extensions, and also glitter extensions in time for Christmas.
Prices start at as little as £5 for a basic manicure and polish or for something a little more glamorous gel and acrylic extensions start at £22. Prices for individual nail designs are available upon request and rhinestones and Swarovski crystals are extras that can be added to suit an individual. Often the girls are asked to replicate nails a customer has seen on the internet, and luckily enough they are both skilful enough to be able to do so, creating all different patterns and designs, even a Commes des Garcons replica.
Nail Box is the perfect place to spruce up your nails to prepare for the party season and you can find them on Facebook or Instagram. The feel is intimate and close-knit, and the result is beautiful, funky nails.
