Here at Fashion North, we are getting rather excited for the festive season, so we thought we should share a couple of items from our Christmas wish lists for gift inspiration.
Each week leading up to Christmas, the Fashion North team will give you a glimpse in to what they’re yearning for this December 25.
Today, our social media team are letting you in on what’s at the top of their wish lists for Christmas 2014.
Our social media editor Amy-Lauren Fitzsimmons’ wish list:
- I understand that I am totally behind the times, but an iPad would definitely organise my life. Maybe it’s the crazy Monica Gellar lifestyle that I like to lead, but being able to have all of your apps in corresponding folders to make everything easier? Yes please. I’d be able to watch Netflix whilst tucked up in bed, check Facebook while I’m bored on the train and even read my favourite blogs on the go. And if I were feeling really special, I would treat myself to this gorgeous (albeit very expensive) Givenchy Bambi iPad case. You can buy the iPad case for £190 from Net A Porter.
- A pair of flat shoes are such a must-have for me because I’m not too good with even a kitten heel. Having a pair that you can sling on with any outfit? Even better. These Chiara Ferragni flat shoes are any Disney lover’s dream. I personally love Maleficent because she’s a powerful baddy, and having her on my feet all day would remind me to be a sassy, independent lady who doesn’t have to take any idiocy. These shoes are great – only Disney fanatics will know who’s on your feet so you won’t seem too geeky in front of your friends. You can buy these from Luisaviaroma.com for £178.
Our deputy social media editor Kate Pattinson’s wish list.
- Christmas is a time of festivities, fun, food, family and, as always, fashion. It is a period in which we can be a little more extravagant with our desires as we write our detailed lists to Santa Claus himself. This Christmas I hope that Mr Claus leaves me some gorgeous vintage inspired oxblood T-bar Orla Kiely autumn/winter 14 Clarks’ collaboration Dotty shoes. With faux horse hair textured fabric, leather buckles and straps, classic Kiely patterned soles and comfortable inners, the six inch heels are sure to be a standout. Their classic style and the fact that they are incredibly comfortable to wear day or night makes them my all year round staple must-have. These wee retro stunners now cost £85 and are available from Orla Kiely online or Clarks’ shoes.
