Sharon Tate and her everlasting influence on fashion

Sharon Tate serves as one of the more underrated 60s fashion icons compared to the likes of Bridgette Bardot, Twiggy and Audrey Hepburn. However, her lasting impact on the fashion and beauty industry is undeniable.

Tate rose to prominence in the late 60s as her acting career began to take off, it was clear that Sharon was also a rising star in the fashion industry, dominating the fashion scene with constant magazine covers and being branded California’s ‘It Girl’ .

Margot Robbie is a part of the long list of celebrities whose style has been influenced by Sharon Tate after portraying her in the 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. She can be seen below referencing Sharon’s iconic face framing braids.

 Sharon was iconic for her bold eyeliner that was unique to her style, this has gone on to influence Lily Rose Depp when she recreated the look for her 20th birthday party.

Sharon’s 1967 film Valley of The Dolls very quickly became the epitome of ultimate 1960s glamour with Tate’s character ‘Jennifer North’ sporting outfits that are still sought after to this day.
