For the day time look we styled Lucie in a Topshop velvet dress (stylists own) with mesh and sequin detail on the chest. To keep it casual we paired the dress with Nike trainers (£22), a patterned bomber jacket from TK Maxx (£14) and a mustard Bessie backpack (£13). This look would be great for a long trip or a day out, as it’s super comfy. The simple up-do keeps your eyes focused on the detail of the outfit but the pop of red lips adds some drama.
For the night time look, however, colour co-ordinating definitely makes more of a statement. Here we chose black and burgundy for an autumnal theme. The velvet dress needs no necklace because of the stand-out design on the chest, although with an up-do a hoop earring is definitely necessary. The sparkling heart shaped bag finishes off the look.
