Deep Vintage
For all you vintage lovers and alternative dressers, Deep Vintage offers a range of vintage clothing mixed with unique garments. If Levi jeans, checkered shirts and oversized tees are your thing, look no further. Deep Vintage is located on High Bridge Street in Newcastle, as well as Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough.
Space.NK
Beauty lovers, Space.NK is calling your name. As well as being an online site, there’s nothing we like more than being able to test products before we buy. There are Space.NK shops all over the world but the closest for us North East folk is the Grainger Street store. Space.NK offers brands that you can’t get in your usual make -up store and it’s oh so pretty inside.
Scout Vintage
We’ve done photoshoots with Scout and we’re constantly in and out of the shop, so if you haven’t visited you really should. Scout is vintage at its best – one of our menswear writers picked up a vintage Burberry trench coat from there(!) Other than the vintage clothes, the Scout store oozes vintage, with a record player playing classics and old suitcases bursting at the seams with accessories, visit Scout on Olive Street for all your vintage needs.
Vintage at No.14
Durham’s new vintage store, most of you will know it for the vintage stall which has been hosted across the North East, from Newcastle to Durham the owner has stood out in the wind, rain and snow to sell some of the best vintage gear available. In December 2014, he finally opened his own store in the heart of Durham.
Pop Recs
Pop Recs isn’t your usual store. Ran by Frankie & the Heartstrings, Pop Recs is a coffee shop, music shop, clothes shop, art space and live music venue. Pop Recs brings something to Sunderland that everywhere else seems to be lacking. It’s unique and a fun shopping experience, if Pop Recs sounds like your cup of tea (or coffee) get down to Fawcett Street in Sunderland and view some art, drink some coffee and buy some clothes.
